The solution to all this confusion? Keep a small test partition where you can install new versions of macOS and new versions of apps you depend on. So, no versions of anything are perfect, and you can't assume others' experiences are what will happen to you.

This is something that was a problem with PCs but it seems to be a Mac issue now too. For me, 8.07 was the last really solid version, but if you want the newer features, you have to put up with the bugs and workarounds.Īlso, FWIW, if you review all the issues people report, people have reported problems that others with the same versions of the OS and DP cannot repeat, meaning that the specific Mac model people are using also enters into the equation. There are issues as there are with any app, but they are the same issues reported by everyone else on any OS version. I subsequently removed V9 and only use V10 now. DP 9.5.2 and 10.0.0 both ran as expected. Otherwise, I take this as a CYA message.įWIW, I moved to a 2018 Mini, and a macOS version prior to Mojave was not an option. If there was something wrong they'd tell you. It's the same message posted with all OS updates. I don't think that message ever gets removed and replaced with an "all clear" signal.

The latest versions only "appear to be compatible" and they admit to "final compatibility testing is still on-going". What scares me is "Current versions of all MOTU software products and hardware drivers available at /download (latest versions) appear to be compatible with Mojave, although final compatibility testing is still on-going." taken from MOTU web site. Maybe I should reinstall DP from scratch since my tech did a copy over of my apps from El Capitan and my 2008 Mac. I'm just trying to head off hours of problems since I will be installing Mojave on a new SSD tomorrow and just need to know if I should also consider staying with Sierra and running DP 9.5.1 or.
I tried calling MOTU but have been on hold now for 30 minutes. I don't know Mike, but I appreciate your response and taking the time to respond.
